Prof. Dr. Esin KOÇ

President of Turkish Neonatology Society, Professor Esin Koç, MD
Prof Esin Koç,MD, was born in 1962 in Izmir and graduated from TED College Ankara in 1980 and Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine. After her compulsory service in Ordu, she had specialized in Child Health and Diseases in Dr. Sami Ulus Children’s Hospital.

After she completed her neonatology fellowship in Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in between 1991 and 1994, she worked at the University of Graz in 1994, and at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in 1995.

Mrs. Koç became associate professor in Gazi University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Child Health and Diseases in 1997 and professor in 2002. Professor Koç, who was a member of Faculty of Medicine Board of Gazi University, published more than 200 national and international articles.

Prof. Koç served as the General Secretary of Turkish Neonatal Society between 2010 and 2015, and has been serving as the President of Turkish Neonatal Society since May 2015. She is currently working as Executive Committee Member of Union of European Neonatal and Perinatal Societies (UENPS), Executive Committee Member of World Academy of Perinatal Medicine (WAPM) and member of European Academy of Perinatal Medicine (EAPM) Special Interest Group of Preterm Birth.
